Privacy Policy
This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have when using Resostu.

Summary
Resostu is a role-based platform for PG management and institute operations. We collect only what’s necessary to provide the service (accounts, organization data, and operational records such as payments or attendance). We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used. We do not sell your personal information.
Information we collect
- Account data — name, email, phone (if provided), login/session data.
- Organization data — organization name and membership roles (director, teacher, student, parent, pg owner, tenant).
- Operational records — e.g. fee invoices and payment requests, income/expense entries, class rosters, attendance records, homework, notifications, and related timestamps.
- Files you upload — where enabled (e.g. homework PDFs, result PDFs, payment QR images). These are stored securely and access is controlled by roles.
- Usage and analytics data — information about how you use our website and app, collected through cookies and similar technologies (including Google Analytics), such as pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP address, device/browser type, referral source, and interaction events.
Cookies and Google Analytics
We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the service (for example, to keep you signed in) and to measure site traffic and usage.
Google Analytics (GA4). We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google LLC (“Google”), to understand how visitors use Resostu. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to collect information such as:
- Pages and screens you visit, and how long you stay
- General location (based on IP address), device type, browser, and operating system
- How you reached the site (for example, a search engine or referring link)
- Events and interactions on the site (for example, button clicks where configured)
This information is processed by Google on our behalf so we can analyze traffic, improve performance, and fix issues. Google may also process certain data as described in Google’s own policies. We do not use Google Analytics to sell your personal information, and we do not intentionally send account passwords or payment card details to Google Analytics.
For more detail on how Google uses data when you use sites or apps that partner with Google, see Google’s Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
Opting out of Google Analytics. You can prevent Google Analytics from using your data by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. You can also control or block cookies through your browser settings; note that blocking all cookies may affect some features of the service (such as staying logged in).
How we use information
- To operate the platform and provide the features you use.
- To secure accounts, prevent abuse, and enforce role-based access.
- To provide customer support and respond to inquiries.
- To measure usage, diagnose issues, and improve features, reliability, and user experience (including via Google Analytics).
Sharing
Data is shared within your organization based on your role (for example, directors can view institute-wide reports). We may share data with service providers strictly to run the platform (hosting, storage, analytics — including Google for Google Analytics), under appropriate safeguards. These providers process data only as needed to provide their services to us, except where their own policies apply (as with Google Analytics, described above).
Retention
We retain information for as long as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Organizations may request deletion/export where applicable. Analytics data retained in Google Analytics is kept according to our Google Analytics property settings and Google’s retention options.
Security
We use role-based access controls and standard security practices to protect data. No system is 100% secure, but we continually improve our safeguards.
Your choices
- Update account details in your profile where available.
- Use browser cookie controls and the Google Analytics opt-out add-on (see above).
- Contact us to ask about access, correction, or deletion of personal data we hold, where applicable by law.
